Question de droit
2001 - 2003
To go with Matt Mullican's project at the Faculty of Law, artconnexion carried out an action to raise awarennes of contemporary among law students.
In 2001, Ludovic Burel's intervention at the Faculté de Sciences Juridiques et Sociales (Law and social sciences Faculty) questionned the key words of the New Economy by relocating these slogans in the historical context of the 1970s. The project consisted of several installations in situ, each located at the entrance to the site and playing on these key words : a red banner with white letters proclaimed Flexibility, a series of stickers Profitability, a light box Total Responsability, a video Versatility, all rounded off a series of posters.
For Question de Droit in 2003 it was a matter of raising questions with students and the inhabitants of the district about the notions of 'intellectual property' and 'image rights' in the field of video. The interventions of Françoise Parfait, author of Vidéo: un art contemporain (2001), Yasmine Kherbach, an advocate, on the status of the artist and intellectual property, Mounir Fatmi and Jean-Louis Accettone, video artists, rounded off the selection of five video programmes transmitted in the library and an amphitheatre of the university.
