Painting project arose from the desire to meet today's painters to talk with them about their work and the place painting occupies in the present day art scene. Are John's Berger words when he defined painting as a militant act still relevant today? Still further questions to be asked focusing on contemporary painting...

Jérôme Borel, 12 December 2003 - 4 January 2004 : solo show and meeting with Cédric Loire

Janusz Stega, 8 - 14 January 2004 : performance and meeting with Olivier Reneau

John Skinner, 17 - 31 January 2004 : first solo show in France

The five corners of painting, 20 February - 13 March 2004 : group show with artworks by British artists, Sam Fischer, Moyra Derby, John Hooper, Derek Hampson and Merlin James and talk with the curator Jane Lee

Jean-Marc Huitorel and Marnix Bonnike, December 2003 : talk about selected paintings
